A mere 20-minute drive from the pulsating life of the city centre of Copenhagen, the international spa hotel Kurhotel Skodsborg greets its guests with a Nordic focus on health and wellbeing. All in stunning surroundings at the heart of Denmark’s most beautiful woodland and marine environments.
Kurhotel Skodsborg is located at the most beautiful part of North Zealand, bordering the UNESCO Heritage Dyrehaven, one of northern Europe’s most spectacular nature reserves. Guests at Kurhotel can enjoy this magnificent gift of nature by using its many running tracks, or by taking a dip in the sea all year round, or simply just strolling around the nature which embraces the entire area.
The healthy life
At Kurhotel Skodsborg, health and wellbeing always come first. The overall vision “the healthy life” is evident throughout the spa, the meeting facilities, the restaurants, common areas and finally the rooms at the hotel.
It is evident in all spa treatments, as well as all activities available at the hotel. Group fitness activities such as CrossFit, yoga and cycling are widely available to all guests. Anyone staying at Kurhotel Skodsborg can enjoy its calm and minimalistic atmosphere – free from clutter and everyday stress. This truly is the perfect retreat to gather strength and improving on ones health. Just as an example of this, during the last year Kurhotel Skodsborg was named ”Best for a Reboot” in Conde Nast Traveller Spa Guide 2018, and “Best for a Natural High” in Tatler Spa Guide 2018.
Keeping traditions
Kurhotel Skodsborg has a new CEO, Susanne Åberg, as of August 2018. The healthy life will however remain key focus, as it has done for over one and a half centuries.
The Skodsborg estate has been used as a health retreat as far back as mid-1800s, when King Frederick 7th used it as his personal country getaway. The king also arranged many great meetings and parties at Skodsborg, of which the memory remains to this day in all new events being held at the historic venue Villa Rex at the Kurhotel Skodsborg resort.
The hotel even offers professional help and rehabilitation during and after illness, surgery or life style problems, based on several successful collaborations with specialists in these fields.
Kurhotel Skodsborg welcomes groups from 4 to 110 people in bright, spacious conference rooms and with unique possibilities for teambuilding activities, like the “Skodsborg Challenge”, cooking schools with acclaimed chefs, and energy sessions with top level trainers.
