Making being away feel like home

The More Hotel, with locations in Malmö and Lund, provides a home from home for short and long stay and spaces for conferences and meetings. The two hotels are in beautiful old buildings, and all the accommodation is in a variety of sizes of studio apartments with their own living, sleeping and kitchen areas.

The More Hotel group has hotels in Malmö and Lund, each with their own character, but both offering meeting rooms and comfortable studio apartments.

The More Hotel in Lund
Opened in August 2012, the More Hotel Lund was created from engine sheds built in 1906 for servicing railway locomotives. While the building has been completely renovated there are still traces of its former use, such as the large vaulted windows in the restaurant that were the entrances and exits for the trains.
The hotel has 33 studio apartments, from small studios for one person, through standard studios for up to three people, to deluxe studios and suites that can accommodate up to four people. For meetings and conferences there are two conference rooms, one for up to 10 people and another for up to 35 people, and the studios are available for smaller meetings. There is also a restaurant with a wine cellar, a gym and a sauna, all on site. Both locations offer corporate rates for regular visitors for both long and short stays.

The More Hotel in Malmö
In Malmö, the More Hotel is also based in a historic building, the former Mazetti Chocolate factory, which was built in 1888 and completely refurbished in 2004. This location has space for meetings for up to 20 people. The More Hotel Malmö’s accommodation includes 68 standard, superior, deluxe and suite studio apartments, many of which include features from the original building such as beamed ceilings and attic windows. As with the Lund hotel, each studio at Malmö includes a kitchenette, living room, bedroom and bathroom, and the hotel has a sauna, gym and restaurant. And, aptly enough, there is locally-produced chocolate from the Malmö Chocolate Factory.

Making the difference
As Jenny Bingåker, hotel manager, said, there is a lot of history in both of the hotel locations, but The More Hotel offers more than that: “We pride ourselves that we offer people who are working and travelling the feeling that they are coming home.”
