Safe and efficient transport – every time

At Vinga Ship Management, safety always comes first. Providing safe and efficient transport may sound like a simple motto – but it is the core business of Vinga Ship Management, 24-7, 365 days a year. “Our clients deserve a safe, efficient and on-time service, every time”, says Managing Director Per Hansson.

There are no shortcuts when it comes to safety at sea. Even the smallest mistake may have tremendous impact, and therefore it is of utmost importance to be the very best you can be every day, around the clock. To ensure presidency when it comes to safe and efficient marine transports, Vinga Ship Management takes investments for improving education and equipment very seriously.
“Our crew is well-educated, and our ship is well-invested. Our ship Vinga Safir is a product tanker of 2650 dwt, which is of the smaller category but with the ability to trek closer to the coastline for example. As we have many colleagues operating in the same business as us, we have to complement each other rather than compete on the same trading routes. I feel that the collaboration between colleagues here on Donsö is a fantastic example of how that actually works in reality”, says Per Hansson.

Collaboration with Alba Tankers
Per Hansson is a Master Mariner and has spent many years at sea. He understands the everyday challenges on board, having been there himself on several occasions. Today, Per is no longer active as a mariner, but he keeps a close eye on the day to day services being carried out by Vinga Safir.
“We have built a strong and long-term collaboration with Alba Tankers, regarding chartering management of Vinga Safir. Through Alba, which is a Gothenburg-based company with the same views and values as us, we can reach the market where our capacity of said 2650 dwt is most sought after”, Per Hansson reveals.
There are of course other chartering businesses at hand, some even headquartered on the island of Donsö, but for Vinga Ship Management the choice is still on Alba Tankers. Per Hansson explains why: “Alba has a long experience in managing vessels of similar size and character, so they were the best alternative for our business and we intend to keep up the good work for many years to come”.
