Nobel Biocare provides comprehensive solutions – from single tooth to fully edentulous

The Swiss-Swedish company Nobel Biocare Services AG, headquartered in Zurich, has an interesting history. The company is built upon two Swedish innovations; Osseointegration, where titanium integrates with living bone, and Procera, the process for industrial production of individualised dental prosthetics. By presenting these discoveries, Professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark and Professor Matts Andersson provided the foundation for the development of modern dental solutions.

Nobel Biocare offers pure science-based solutions for restorative and esthetical dental care globally. The sales and marketing division representing the Nordic countries is based in Gothenburg, the region also being one of Scandinavia’s most important strategic hubs for life science research and development. Hence, Nobel Biocare offers scientifically backed-up solutions for the entire range of dental implants, prosthetics, guided surgery solutions, scanners and biomaterials.

Creating well-being
Can dental medical devices improve people’s lives? The answer is yes. “Our overall ambition is to instil confidence in people. In restoring a smile or recreating damaged teeth dental professionals all over the world make a real and lasting difference to the well-being of their patients. Our core mission is to provide the solutions that make it possible”, says Magnus Persson, Head of Nordic Countries at Nobel Biocare.
“We dedicate around five per cent of our annual turnover towards the research and innovations department within the group. As an example, our research has dramatically improved and shortened the healing process after a dental operation”.

Providing complete treatments
“What we offer is an extensive assortment of bone-level and tissue-level dental implants for all indications, bone types and surgical protocols”, Persson explains. Originating from the innovations made by Professor Matts Andersson, NobelProcera provides a full range of CAD/CAM-based individualised dental prosthetics for every indication, from a single tooth to fully edentulous jaws, on both natural teeth and implants.
NobelGuide is a complete treatment concept for diagnostics, prosthetic-driven planning and guided implant surgery for all indications. Its functionalities work both individually or as part of a full planning and guided surgery process. Persson reveals that a new version of NobelGuide will be released shortly, “as a result of the company’s dedication to research and development within the field of restorative and esthetical dental care”.
